Not too bad cold today, but everyone seems to be sick.
Eat citrus fruit, green tea, and take hot tub bath. Of course, don't forget to have hot noodle soup with a lot of chili pepper. That's my mom told me every cold day.
Actually, Tokyo is not so bad as New York. We sometimes have snowy day, but it won't bother our commute. Winter in Tokyo is dry and chappy. I'm from Fujisawa, Kanagawa - Metropolitan Tokyo, I always say "its relationship is like 'New York and New Jersey' " but it seems to be more like Hamptons. Even if it's a cold day, we could have nice and humid breeze from sea.
Japan is basically surrounded by sea. We have a bunch of fresh seafood every day. Even there are some region which doesn't close to the sea, they know how to preserve its freshness without artificial preservatives.
Anyway, I think I talked too much about my hometown. Feeling nostalgic...
But I know what you want me to tell...Today's Deal! Right?
Today's Lunch Combo
Chicken Katsu
Breaded chicken is known as Chicken Cutlet. But our poor pronounciation alter the word without any permision of English speakers - we call it Chicken Katsu.
If you are not familiar with Cutlet, which supposed to be French origin, you can imagine Wiener Schnitzel. Cooking process is not the same, but looks similar. Don't get mad, Austrian & Germans!
Only a huge diffrence is Chicken Katsu is pre-cut because we do use chopsticks. Unfortunately, chopstics cannot be working as knife. So it's already cut in pieces for convenience.
Spinach Oshitashi
Boiled Spinach seasoned with soy sauce and fish broth. Popular dish on Japanese home cooking.
Half Noodle Soup
Green Salad
Crunchy Katsu and crispy salad, sip the soup and munch the spinach.
These Fantastic Four is only $8.50 !!
Don't miss it.
